getting deleted in 5 minutes, getting detonated, citadel hits and you name it. From time to time its best to just walk away as some game turn out so sour that it really turns you off. Just the luck of the draw and nothing you can do about it but move on to the next battle OR just shut down the game and come back later. Your team is not as skilled or are playing a team with more luck than yourself. Then agai there are those games which turn out bad no matter what or how careful you are. Of course I don't even heed my own advise as you get too involved but really you have to pull back and ask yourself where am I relative to the threats. Also looking at the mini or main map gives you an idea of relative enemy strength near you. You can't play as if your going to respawn so leave that idea at the door. You get blown up quick or do not last long is because you end up being too far ahead of your team or your team has slowed and watched you get the bullet first. Even when you do become a good player, you're still going to get rekt here and there. The other half is simply the other guy being better, luckier, outplaying you. The important thing to remember even after you get blown away, despite possibly feeling annoyed, is to think about what you did wrong to get to that point. That may seem like a lot but when you're just playing, the battles mount.Īnyways, you're going to get rekt. It took me around the 1000 battles mark before I learned on my own from trial and error to simply be an average player. I didn't ask questions on the boards, didn't watch YouTube WoWS videos, didn't ask for help. It takes the average person a while before things start to click together and make an asset of themselves so they are not a detriment. It can also be used to post up and someone else can critique your performance. You can enable replays to watch prior matches. Sometimes it may pay to review a match that confounded you. Don't be afraid to ask questions when you're bewildered as to what's going on. The only things I can say is learn from mistakes, be familiar with your ships, and keep at it.
In PVP games, new guys get beat pretty bad.
